Yes, Starbucks is facing a class-action lawsuit alleging that its Refresher fruit drinks are missing the key-ingredient of fruits that it advertises. The lawsuit, filed on in California Superior Court in Los Angeles, claimed that the energy drinks were “made up of no more than sugar, artificial flavors and artificial coloring,” and that Starbucks had made “false and deceptive representations” in marketing and selling the drink. The lawsuit also alleges that Starbucks marketed and suggested drinking the Refresher drinks as a healthy alternative to other energy drinks. Starbucks has yet to respond to the allegations.
