The Trump medical report was released Wednesday and it showed the former US president in overall good health in recent years. The report, released by the White House Medical Unit, detailed the results of Trump’s physical exams between 2018 and 2021.
The report revealed Trump’s vital statistics and provided a broad overview of his health, including data on his weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and other medical elements. Notably, the report showed that the 74-year-old was prescribed a common cholesterol-lowering drug, atorvastatin, and a multivitamin.
The report comes just days after questions were raised over the health of President Joe Biden, who at 78 is the oldest American president to take office. During the campaign, some skeptics questioned Biden’s age and energy level, citing his occasional slips and gaffes while out on the campaign trail.
The White House responded to the criticism by releasing a letter from Biden’s doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, which gave a glowing assessment of Biden’s health, calling him “a healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”
The Trump medical report appears to confirm that the former president was in good health during his time in office. While it is unlikely to put an end to questions over Biden’s health, it does provide a useful comparison with the current president and may quiet skeptics reeling from O’Connor’s assessment.
