According to data from AAA, the Thanksgiving period is expected to see one of the busiest days of the year for Americans on the move. The busiest travel days in 2020 are predicted to be Wednesday, November 25 and Sunday, November 29. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Sunday afterward are expected to be the busiest days, with an estimated 54.3 million people estimated to be traveling by air, train, car or bus. The rest of Thanksgiving week will also be busy, with an estimated 43.2 million travelers estimated to hit the roads between Wednesday and Sunday. If you plan on flying, experts recommend flying as early in the week as possible to avoid heavy crowds on the busiest days and potentially higher fares.
