William Jordan, a prosecutor in the US Department of Justice’s (DOJ) fraud section, will appear for a deposition on December 17 after being accused of limiting the scope of the DOJ investigation into Hunter Biden, the son of President-elect Joe Biden.
The deposition was requested by Senate Republicans who wrote in a memo to President Donald Trump that Jordan was “reportedly involved in limiting the scope of the Department’s investigation into Hunter Biden.” They claim he prevented agents from asking questions related to the former vice president.
Jordan has yet to speak publicly on the matter, and it is unclear what he will say during his deposition. It is also unclear if his deposition will shed any light on the DOJ’s handling of the investigation or provide any insight into the timeline of events regarding the case.
